“ I allow your scars, so you will see beauty.” Longing for imperfections to be removed, God reveals His beauty through our ugly. Backwards we might propose? Then again, that is just like God. Unconventional. Set apart. His ways are higher than ours. His tools sharpened on the opposite end. Only through keeping our eyes on Him, do we begin to see the heavenlies. The ways of God. He’s already told us, He doesn’t pay attention to outward appearances, so why do we?
Begin to see your ugly through the eyes of Jesus. Asking Him to turn on the light, accepting what He shows. Here you will begin to see beauty. Real love will bud and grow. Because when you begin looking for Jesus in the broken things of this World, you will truly find what He’s been trying to show you all along. Himself in you.

This is truly the heart of the gospel…our sinful stains for His glorious grace and beauty. He promises us in Psalm 34:5, “Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.”
