About the Author

Hello, my name is Jenny Buckholt and I am the creator of this page and the author of my upcoming book, Walking Restored, Amidst the Scars that Never Heal. I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and loyal friend to many. My heart and passion in life is loving God with every fiber that makes up my existence. I am also a writer, a God given dream. I decided several years ago to embark on this long lost dream of mine. Some would say taking the leap into writing a book may not be the best approach as a new writer, but here I am! 

My heart’s desire is to share this message with you, the hope we have in Christ Jesus. My book, Walking Restored Amidst the Scars that Never Heal, is my transforming walk with Christ. Prior to serving God with my life, I lived a dark and sad existence. I was overwhelmed and overtaken by the pain inflicted on me. When I was just  6 years old, my biological father left me. I may never know the reasons, but to my six year old self, the only conclusion was his lack of love for me. This perception destroyed me, as my love for him was far too great for my yearning heart to handle. 

I spent the rest of my childhood believing the lie that I was just not meant to be happy, or have good things bestowed upon me. My self worth was shot, along with any love for myself. I didn’t want to exist in a world where I was not lovable. But then something extraordinary happened. God revealed His great depth of love for me. And so my journey began, finding restoration in Christ, His purpose for us all. The pages of this book are filled with the ways God wants to love your heart back to health. To show you through His redeeming love how to walk with joy in a life so filled with pain. 

Here on my webpage, my goal is to share encouraging words with you in the form of blogs. I have been writing and posting Micro-blogs on my Facebook Page, Walking Restored-A Journey of Hope and Healing as well as on Instragram. Some of the posts are teasers from my book, while others are written from my current everyday circumstances and the truths God is teaching me.
