“Just be happy mommy!” It had been one of those days, consecutive days of impatience, unexpected setbacks, disappointments and frustrations. The kind of days we all have. Usually His Joy comes in the morning but this morning, my anger still got the best of me. In my usual early morning spot on the recliner, steaming cup of coffee in hand and my Bible laid out before me, God reminded me, “ Let him who stole, steal no longer.” -Ephesians 4:27. The context around this verse was referring to anger and no longer grieving the Holy Spirit. These words embedded itself in my soul as I began realizing the truth behind them.. Much had been stolen from me, but God’s love and mercy restored it all tenfold. And I now have the power through Christ to let the devil steal NO MORE! The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy and he has stolen something from us all. A heart and mind undisciplined by the word of God allows the enemy to continue stealing from us, impacting every area of our lives. In a society heavily thickened with clouds of anger, And circumstances that are at times less than complimentary, it can be hard to stand apart. God is here to remind us that He does restore. Choose to smile, choose to love. Choose to endure rather than give up, and choose your battles, learning to let go. Choose this day and every day to let him who stole, steal no longer. Rather, through Christ and the eyes of a three old, just be happy!
